I want to understand the mysteries of the mind and brain. It fascinates me how the brain creates perceptions, emotions and thoughts on both conscious and unconscious levels.
Currently, I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the School of Psychology, University of Sydney. Here I work to understand the mechanisms of visual perception using magnetic stimulation of the brain.
As a doctoral student at the University of Western Sydney, I have shown in a series of experiments that static and dynamic emotional hand gestures and faces can capture our attention. I still keep my interest in this area of research.
