Rapid Estimation of Phosphene Thresholds (REPT)
A Bayesian adaptive staircase procedure to rapidly and accurately estimate phosphene thresholds. The procedure utilises the Rapid2 toolbox to adjust the stimulation intensity via a serial connection. It is a fast and accurate procedure compared with other published procedures. REPT has a Matlab GUI based convenient user interface to control the stimulator and run the staircase. A brief summary of the procedure is provided in this PowerPoint presentation. More detailed description of REPT as well as its accuracy, reliability and speed advantages are discussed in this paper.
